A large full-service law firm with offices in eight (8) cities across the U.S., is in search of a full-time non-exempt Risk Management Analyst to join its St. Louis or Washington D.C. office. Under the leadership of the Risk Management Analyst Supervisor, this position assists with the client intake process and risk management operations such as file transfers (including attorney departures), file openings for new clients and matters, and onboarding new attorneys. After an initial period of training, this position is eligible for a hybrid-remote work schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Assists with file transfer requests, including analyzing the request, identifying all relevant files, reviewing files as needed, coordinating the transfer, obtaining confirmation of receipt, and closing of client or matter(s) as appropriate.
- Responsible for learning all aspects of our department's use of Intapp and new client intake (opening clients, opening matters, closing matters, changing parties, engagement letters, and outside counsel guidelines).
- Assists with submitting conflicts information into the Intapp system for lateral partner hires and potential mergers.
- Assists with departing attorney file transfers, including managing and tracking status of file transfer letters and file materials.
- Assists with onboarding new attorneys and firm mergers, including submission of Intapp requests and drafting engagement letters and provides guidance to legal administrative assistants.
- Assists with file opening requests in the review and analysis of File Opening materials for completeness, reviews and analyzes new client library research to provide information to the business review committee and assist with engagement letters as necessary.
- Assists with engagement letter compliance process with Risk Management Coordinator.
- Assists with the review of signed engagement letters received from clients and tagging of engagement letters in Intapp Terms.
Experience and Education Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate's Degree or a Paralegal Certification is preferred.
- Minimum of four (4) years of legal administrative experience required.
